Concert on the Concourse - Weather!

Hi All,

Because of the unpredictable weather we have coming our way, students have been informed that we will meet at PHS in the auditorium at 6:45. Students should have everything they need for tonight's performance; instruments, lyres, flip folders. The auditorium will serve as our homeroom to get set up and ready to perform. The concert will begin at 7:30, in the PHS field house. Once the middle school performance has concluded, students will immediately report back to the auditorium to clean up their instrument cases, etc. The auditorium will then be locked (no re-entrance will be allowed) and students are excused to their parents/guardians.  Please stay for some pie and ice cream and to support the high school as they prepare for the Tournament of Roses Parade and put on a great show for all!

Thanks for your flexibility!

Concert on the Concourse Details **UPDATED 6/30**

Good Morning,

We are very excited for today's Concert on the Concourse event at PHS. The students have been working very hard these past three weeks and really want to share what they have been practicing! Here are just a few reminders regarding today's performance:

  • The event will take place rain or shine - if weather is not cooperating, we will move the performance to the PHS fieldhouse.
  • Report time is 6:30 at PCMS (we march over with the kids after we get them all set to go for the 7:30 performance) if weather becomes a factor, we may need to make an adjustment and will send home notice with your child after rehearsal tomorrow afternoon.
  • Students should only bring what they need for the performance into PCMS - all instrument cases, jackets, etc. should be left with parents in their cars. No one will be returning to the middle school after the performance.
  • Students will be excused once the middle school portion of the performance is concluded (probably before 8:00). Feel free to hang around with your students and enjoy some pie and ice cream while the high school marching band performs!
  • Finally, the uniform for tomorrow's performance consists of the following: red band polo, khaki or light-colored shorts, and white or light-colored tennis shoes. Khaki shorts and white sneakers are preferred, but we do not want the students to go out and purchase new clothing just for this event (uniform will be the same for Polka Days).

Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding tomorrow.
Also, please remember that this week concludes the 7th and 8th grade lessons. The next rehearsal we have scheduled for them is Tuesday, July 12th and is in preparation for the Polka Days Parade (1:15-3:15 at PCMS).

Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you later on!

Solo and Ensemble

It's Time!!
Solo and Ensemble is here. Tomorrow, at PHS, music students from the area will perform various solos, duets, trios, etc. that they have been preparing these past months. Click for the Pulaski Music Boosters "Solo and Ensemble Info" page. If your questions can't be answered there, they can't be answered at all :)
An email was sent out earlier this week to families of participating students with performance times, site info, etc.
Good luck to all participants - may all of your time and hard work pay off!

Chilirific!

This past Sunday, PCMS Bands participated in the Chilirific Musicpalooza concert and fundraiser. It was a great day with delicious chili and wonderful performances by all bands six through 12. We love that this concert allows our music students to see the progression from sixth grade beginning band all the way up until their senior year in high school. Congratulations to all performing groups. What a fun day to be a part of!
